Seventh and eighth graders have finished their collaborative paintings. They started by tracing each other on large pieces of paper, overlapping and repeating shapes. They then used paint to fill new shapes that were created with the goal of creating abstraction.
Students in 7th and 8th grades worked in groups to abstract the human form by tracing each other on large sheets of paper. They experimented with overlapping and selectively tracing certain portions of their bodies to create the initial drawings. They are working now to paint the various shapes created through this method of creating abstraction. Check back in to see their final projects!
Seventh grade students have FINALLY finished their Plushies! It was a long, intensive project from design creation, making a pattern, to choosing and cutting the fabric, gluing and sewing the details, sewing the front and back together, to stuffing and finally sewing it closed. These examples show they were well worth all the effort!
