First and second graders have been learning about color mixing! Specifically, how to mix primary colors to make secondary colors. They've made color wheels, tested what they knew by doing some "art math", sang along to a fun color video by the band OK Go, and are in the process of finishing up paintings of colorful fish. Stay tuned to see their finished work.
Kindergarten students are using cake tempera paints for the first time. It's a little tricky learning how to use the paintbrush correctly and using the correct amount of water. We are practicing making simple lines of various colors. These paintings will be cut and made into sculptures in classes to come! |
